Demon Wings
Every army it is said attracts scavengers, those foul predators that rely on the sick, wounded and dying for sustenance. The most despicable predators are those that look to this easy prey for sport and not just for food. The Demon Wings are the scavengers of the Devout, cunning and cruel and looking for the easiest prey. Not particularly strong or intelligent, Demon Wings congregate in packs and provide the Devout Army with a soldier perfect for harassing an enemy and picking off those who try to flee the field of battle. They strike with long serrated spears from safe distances and prefer to impale their prey on these weapons and dragging their corpses into the air where they will be consumed a most grizzly fashion. Many soldiers have told tales of watching their comrades carried off screaming by a pack of Demon Wings, frustrated by their inability to do anything but watch them disappear in the distance.
Their role in various engagements may change based on the Warp Lord leading them, but ultimately, when a Devout victory is achieved, Demon Wings are swarming over the fallen in an aerial dance of gore and screaming.
