Headhunters
The Swamp Goblin Headhunter is an illustration of the fanatical disposition that sentences some Swamp Goblins to short and violent lives. Goblins whose families have been slain in the skirmishes between the different tribes or by intruders from the outside world will abandon conventional Swamp Goblin society and seek solace on the battlefield. The few that survive for any length of time develop a passion for collecting trophies and tokens from the battlefield, especially the heads of their enemies. They often live apart from the tribe, being feared by the normal populace for their unpredictable and violent behavior. In battle they favor the two-handed chitin axe and wear elaborate headdresses and grisly talismans taken from their victims in previous battles. Though distant from tribal society, Headhunter warbands are a source of pride for a tribe.
