Drawn from the fallen dead of those slain by the Devout, these undead troops are created by the foul magic of the Devout Necromancers and their evil pets. The exact composition of these troops depends entirely upon the corpses littering the battlefield at the time they are created. The site of an army’s fellows rising from the dead to turn their vacant gaze back on their brothers is often overwhelming. Regardless of the race of the Risen, they function as a unit under the absolute control of the Necromancer who summoned them.
